Just adding some variety to the pics that show up here in the early morning.  What will we be doing today.  Those who are stalled, do you avoid logging your foods or planning your meals ahead of time using www.fitday.com  or the daily plate site?  Or do you avoid weighing daily and check your logs to see what you nutrition looked around when you lose, gain or stall?

What are we up to today?

April Fools GuffawGood morning folks, don't let someone play a joke on you today, LOL

Getting ready for work shortly, then nothing planned for the evening. I probably will iron the new shears that I bought from JCP. I thought I was going to take them and have them pressed but decided to iron them myself. In our 3 season room there are 3 walls of windows and we face west so we needed something to block the sun. (Better late than never as the room has been up for close to 6 years.) These will just block the glare but let the light in. I did not want to drill into the metal wall frame so I got those metal large Command hooks and a stainless thin rod. The panels just need to be pushed back to to open the vertical window.

ps - 3 of the SHEERS have been ironed.

ps Randy I used Fitday at one time and for me it did not work in the respect of logging the info in because I could not do it until I came home from work and by that time I did not want to do it. That is just me but for others it works great from what I see on the main board as a question will pop up every few days.

I think that is definately one of the drawbacks of programs like Fitday.  I am planning to write one of my own to see if I can make it less of a task.  Before the internet programs I logged my foods in a week-at-a glance pocket planner.  This only worked because I was driving my own taxi so I could stop each time I ate and relax for a few minutes.  I used a shorthand for my foods and was able to guess calories because my behavioral management course had taught me to do that.  I had a line for water and a line for exercise.  A mark of an x for every eight ounces of water.  Exercise was walking so I just entered numbers in minutes seperated by commas.

Good Morning.

It looks to be a nice sunny day. Go out and enjoy it if you can.

I will be going to work shortly, nothing exciting happening today. Just work and home again.

Randy, I use fitday. I log when I can. Like right after I get home from work  or before I leave. I take my lunch so I know what I will eat during the day.

Have a great day and stay safe.

Huggers,

LISA

That is good Lisa.  Foods can sneak up on you.  I have problems with trying to use various foods to offset things like not having enough energy or to regulate various body functions.  The biggest surprise FitDay showed me was that too much protein could cause me to gain weight.  That will be an experiment I will have to rerun as I lose weight post op.

 Good Morning Randy and Illinois

Happy hump day!

Randy, you almost had me thinking you were up early this morning until I realized you were playing night owl last night.  I thought, surely Randy is not up this early.

Christine, I am so awake, when you said you were ironing sheers, all I could think of was scissors and I thought  "Why would anyone iron scissors?"   Ok, now I am awake.

Beemer was in to the vets last night and he confirmed that he needed surgery.  It is scheduled for tomorrow morning.  I will take him in this afternoon.  He cant have food or water after 7pm and if I took it away from all the cats I would have a mutany on my hand and no sleep tonight!  So it is easier to send him in for an overnight stay.  The vet is real nice and is not charging me for the boarding fees.  With 5 cats, I do enough business there!

Today I have a doctors appointment with my kidney doctor and a hair appointment so it is a different day.  I am only working half day.

Hope everyone has a great day!

My mind had her ironing tin shears for a moment.

I got up at 4am for years, and 10pm, and 2am and 7am and 2pm, in short I worked a lot of shifts over the years.

I took my first mid-term for anatomy last night and was done in 45 minutes.  I sure hope I did well.  There were 100 questions and I felt like I knew most of the answers.  I missed the review class on Thursday due to having the flu, but I don't think it mattered.  Tonight is massage class so I'm looking forward.  We are doing chair massage and I enjoy that.  I have my own massage chair and I am glad we will be complete on chair massage technique in a week.  I've scheduled a big corporate chair massage event for two days later this month and then 2 days next month.  If it works out, the company may want me to come in every month!  I have this vision of doing corporate chair massage 4 days a week as a career!  We'll see how well it goes.  Weight wise, I'm still holding without much loss, but I figure with the warm weather coming, things should start moving.  Good ideas there Randy!  Have a great day!

Good to see you Paul.  Best wishes on the message future.

I have several projects in mind one of which is a better mousetrap of the food and exercise logging variety.  User interfaces, databases, variable displays and user interactions seem to be either missing or lacking.  That is why see me saying things about C# on FB.  It is in VS and I plan to use a program to access the USDA database and do some conversions from the databases measures to whatever folks use and from raw to cooked estimates as my final.  I will then move on to VS web development but have not decided what I will use as a final for that except that it will likely involve reworking www.geocities.com/randallbaxley in Popfly and adding the database program in it for others to use.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
