Going to be busy this week. Company comming from Chicago for the week. Should be fun traveling around the Gulf Coast.

Good morning Carla and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today, but got in an hour and a half late. I HATE when that happens......
We are supposed to pick up a junky car for David tonight from a friend of mine who needs it gone ASAP. Todd decided that it would be better to drive in just my car after work to do this. That meant I had to take him to work this morning and he does not start wor****il an hour after I usually start. I wanted him to get in a little early and split the difference with me, but it did not work out that way. He and the kids ARE NOT morning people.
It is dreary here too so I will be looking forward to the sunshine being sent from you.
"Beyondthebeauty" needs some lap-banders to share their stories on her post. Please help her out if you get a chance.......

Good Morning Everybody,
Not much happening on my front. I tried calling the Department of Family Services to cancel my appointment for tomorrow. I figure if my DH gets unemployment, we wouldn't qualify for anything anyway, at least not now. I tried calling about 4 or 5 times. I left a voice mail, not sure if it was to the right person. After work, I stopped there. The line to check in with the receptionist was almost out the door. I finally walked upstairs and rapped on a window until I could let someone know. They were quite nice about it, considering I didn't follow their rules.
My DH and I also went to Wal-Mart. so I could return a couple of things. I wanted to buy a couple of belts. too.
I washed my car yesterday morning and then ended up splashing filthy water on it while driving to work. It ended up not looking clean at all. Bummer!
My post showed up first and then it wasn't. I deleted it.
I hope everyone is well. Wishing you a happy day.

Did you know you can apply for unemployment on line. I did it that way.I never did have to go into an office. It was easy and slick. No lines, no waiting. Go to the state of Illinois website and then to the department of employment security and follow the directions. I wouldnt think it would matter if your husband collects unemployment. You should both be qualified. Good luck!

Carla, thanks for sending the sunshine and warmth are way! We really need it! Some even arrived yesterday as it got up to the mid 50's and melted all the snow.
I got my cat scheduled for an appointment tonight. I have to leave work 1/2 hour early as that is the only appointment they have. Otherwise, I would have to wait another week and I dont want to do that. I tried to just schedule the surgery but of course, we have to have a preop visit.
To me it is a waste of time and $$$ as I already know he will have surgery. Oh well, I will play by the rules. They say they have to draw blood. Hopefully they will just keep him and get it done tomorrow. Poor guy is miserable.
Work was busy yesterday. It was one of those days when the phone rang off the hooks. I never know what the day will bring.

Ilse, I am glad you canceled your appointment with DHS. You probably didn't qualify since you have no young children.
Nancy, we were the opposite yesterday. We had almost no one in.
I know we need the rain to bring in the spring flowers (April showers bring May flowers), but it is sure gloomy out there. I decided to brighten up my day by wearing a light, but bright orange sweater today.
Nothing else going on in my world. How about you?

thank you Carla, But today it is raining I guess it is better then snow ,
I got a call back for comfort Keepers yesterday, I go tomorrow to talk and learn more about what they are all about, I hope that I get it job with my terms that I will work, on the list of hrs it said that you must work every other weekend over night, Well I will not do that, and I said that on my Application so will see,
Not much going on here, new to run to walmart to get Jim's Meds and some Pinto beans for this weekend,
Nancy hope you kitty is OK, why is he needing surgery?

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
