Friday Roll Call

Good morning Janet!  I mised you in my post....tell Jim "Hi!" and have a great weekend!

Just stay home on Sunday as we are supposed to get snow Saturday into Sunday morning.

Good Morning All - 

Things are going good.  Calvin was off yesterday.  Man I tell ya, I hate going to Costco w/ him.  We always spend way too much money.  I can get out of there way cheaper when he is not around.  LOL  Oh well.  It was nice to have him home yesterday.  He helped me with the marketing plan that was presented to our local pizza shop last night.  The owner was pleased even though he is a hard head and we are going to roll with it.  I have some work to do this afternoon and then Outback tonight.  I need to go over to my surgeons office today and pick-up a smaller blk boot.  I stopped by the surgery center but they told me I needed to go to the office and get one.  I've tried a couple places to pick one up and no one seems to sell them.  Now that the cast is off the boot is too big.  Madison (my granddaughter) will be spending spring break with us next week.  I'm looking forward to having her for the week.  She is always a joy to have around.

Christine -  I'm sorry things are so hectic at work.  I really hope things don't go south w/  your job.  Sending prayers that all will work out.  Prior to moving to IL my job always required me to gussy up and we always looked forward to casual day..  then I moved to IL and my job was a jean, t-shirt job and I always felt the urge to dress up.  Dressing up always makes me feel better about myself.  

Crystal -  Glad your home and doing well.  Congratulations!

Nancy -  Hope you have a great day!

Thank you all for the kind words with the foot situation.. I appreciate all your prayers.  Things are going very well and hopefully I'll be up and "running" w/in the next couple weeks.

Is the freezer full now with stuff he likes to eat?  We do not do Sam's since we moved here and it is just the two of us but I can remember when we would let DW go by herself and then DD and I would be home by ourselves and could find nothing to eat.

That does seem to be a big problem in our household.  I'm not a picky eater and can tolerate most healthy choices.  Calvin on the other hand does not like to try my healthy experiments.  LOL  Oh well, one day at a time.

Christina, when Dave and I go to Sam's Club we go in with a list and try hard to not deviate from it. We occasionally stray but it is usually not with junk food, but protein foods. We also use Sam's as a place to get some exercise and we will walk up and down almost each and every aisle.

Well... I did have a list with me.  We did not leave with junk food.  We left with golf gloves, golf balls, printer cartridges..........  Need I say more?  LOL

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today and SO GLAD that it is FINALLY Friday!  I don't know why, but this week has really taken a LOOOONNNNGGGG time to pass.  I am looking forward to the weekend.

Due to the Scouts not having enough adults to supervise, the camping trip has been canceled.  It is probably better due to the weather also.  They were supposed to be camping in a heated cabin, but if the weather is as bad as they are saying, they boys would go stir crazy stuck inside.

Liv has plans to spend the night with a friend tonight and I hope to get some Spring cleaning done over the weekend.  I always have good intentions, but other things seem to get in the way of cleaning and organizing.  I still haven't gotten the photos framed and on the walls that I had hoped to do a couple of months ago.

I have a beef arm roast in the crock pot today with cream of mushroom soup mixed with Lipton's Garlic and Herb dry soup mix.  It will be making the house smell wonderful by the time we get home.  I will throw in some baby carrots and serve it with garlic mashed potatoes for the family.  I will have green beans, broccoli or asparagus with mine along with sliced cucumbers.

Glad to see that Crystal is home and adjusting well.  Christine, I hope your job situation works out the way you wish.  Nancy, it is ALWAYS nice to see you smiling, positive face!
Monica, I LIVE in clothes from consignment shops.  I usually walk out with HUGE bags of stuff for all of us for under $30.

My boss is away again and Fridays are usually slow.  It will just be me and one co-worker.  I sure hope the day goes quick.....
