Saturday Roll Call
Good morning Illinois!
It's long lost me! I have been very busy with school, taking care of the kids and life in general. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I haven't been lurking either, so forgive me if I'm not up to date on all the happenings. School is going well and I'm about to take my first mid-term in anatomy. I've studied my gludeous maximus off but I'm still worried since it has been a lot of information to learn in a very small amount of time. To top it off, I got the flu from the kids this week and was forced to stay home from the review class on Thursday night. I am starting to do massage for some community outreach events next month. I'm excited since it is at a company where my wife works and it could eventually lead to regular paid work on a monthly or even weekly basis once I'm lisensed! It will be chair massage for their employees over a 2 day period. I've created a website for my eventual business at www.neweratherapy.com. If anybody is interested in seeing how I'm presenting this new career, take a look. I've gotten all set up with all my equipment and now it's just a matter of waiting out the completion of school and taking my boards. So exciting.
On the weight front, I've slowly crept down to 189. It's unbelievable how slow it has been going since December. I still eat very small amounts, and I've added regular exercise three days a week, but still only a pound every now and then. My resistance is still good in my band and I still have a bad experience if I eat the wrong stuff or too much of something. My doc tells me not to worry and just be patient, but I want the last 14 pounds to get lost already!
The family is doing well. I'm really glad that I am able to be with the kids every day. I was devistated when the layoff happened, but now I see that it was a blessing in disguise. If I was still employed, I wouldn't see the kids 4 days out of each week.
I hope evryone is doing well and getting ready for Spring. Enjoy the weekend!

Patience my child, the weight will come off. I put out an AWOL post for you and a few others a couple of days ago and look here you are. That is crummy about the flu bug; it seems to have hit many this winter with some form of virus.
Dave and I have a visitation for a long time friend up in Grayslake at 1pm today then I need to dash home and go to a friends home jewelry show in Bartlett. Good thing is that this all gets done before the snow starts to fly. My area is only slated for 1-2" which is good. Tomorrow we are more than likely going to take the train down to Willow Chicago and then walk around downtown afterwards.
As a note of info I did hear on the Fox noon news of a possible malware that might be set to come out on April 1st. Here is the link to the news story http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,510296,00.html Just keep in mind that it is a maybe for it to come out but even so make sure that your virus software is up to date.

ps - I reported to OH that there is a problem with receiving responses to posts. None are coming through or you will get 6+ for one single post. This was also noted on the main board last night.

Hello everyone
I had a bad night last night. I felt very dizzy and light headed. I don't think its from dehydration because I'm drinking lots of water. Whatever it was I don't like the way it feels.
I also had trouble sleeping. I have a prescription for Ambien but I'm afraid to take them. I don't want to get dependent on them. I know its unlikely but its still a fear. That's the reason why I don't like to take painkillers either (I haven't taken any for about a day now). Its one of my weird things. Like I have thing about germs too.
I hope everyone is going to have a nice day, its supposed to snow today. Drive safe.

Hi Crystal-When I was in the hospital before my second blood pressure meds they took my blood pressure and it was low. They didn't give me the meds. When I was at home I was taking my blood pressure meds and then I started to get dizzy and light headed. I started taking my blood pressure twice a day at home and called my primary for an appointment. I was off my blood pressure meds within a week of surgery. Call your primary care doc and get it checked out. You may not need the meds or you may need a lower dose.
Good morning all!
I am going to run errands before the rain and that other four letter word starts. I am cleaning house also, and preparing myself to start working again. It has been 10 years since I worked out of the house. My dogs are gonna go nuts without having me home, but at least I can afford to feed them now...lol
I am nervous about what I will be eating or what we are allowed to eat at work, did I ask that question....NO, I didn't. Guess I can ask Monday at training.
Hope everyone tries to have a great day with the weather we are suppose to get.
Dee

Good Morning Paul, and the frozen Illinois Board.
Paul, it is great to see you again. Please, even if it is just a "HI" and I am still alive, please don't stay gone so long.
Christine, please be careful driving later today. We are slated to get 3.5/4 inches of the white stuff. I really hope they are wrong. We all need spring.
Crystal, hang in there. You are just healing up. You might get weird feelings. Please, take your pain meds, If you need them. I don't like to take them either, but if I need them, I do.
Please have a safe and warm day.
Hugs,
LISA
