Progress? Maybe!!!

Eight months now of medically supervised weight loss.

Called to set up an appointment with my surgeon for the end of May and found out he is not there anymore.  That would have made me mad had I already gone to see him.

Went through the PCP's HMO lady again and got a new one.

Prayer will be needed for me to be able to negotiate Chicago and afford all of the extra copays and gas or other transportation as this grows closer.

Randy, oh my gosh, what a blow. I am going to guess that you have possibly have other things in the works??!!  (sorry, should have read the rest of your post) I am not sure as I have not been through what you are going through now. I do know that I had a door slammed in my face and had another window opened when I need it, pre op. Remember your tag line about what God  . . . does to strengthen you. . .

  Yes it would be a good idea to read the whole post.  Since I did not go to that surgeon it is not a big blow and the new one they had me call was Dave's surgeon.  The other one was at Rush and this one is at U of I so just a few blocks differance.

If someone gave me a nickle and someone else gave me a nickle I would have two to rub together.  I have been on manna for twenty one years now and it does not bother me as I am happy with plenty or with want but I get down win others are hurting and too proud to go get the help I tell them about and they lookto me for help.  So frustrating to tell folks where they can get help three months ago and then when the trouble I saw coming hits it is too late to get an appointment with the folks who would have helped them.
