Good monring Nancy and the rest of IL!

Crystal I am SOOOO excited for you!  I will be 3 weeks out when you have your surgery tomorrow!  I will be thinking of you and wishing you a very fast recovery!  Let us know what time your surgery is please!!!

This weekend we had gone to my dad's and my kids had a lot of fun!  It was nice!  I ate a scrambled egg for the first time yesterday since before surgery!!  It was good!

Today I have to go to the grocery store and get a couple things!  It is Spring break so I will be taking my 3 kids with me!  They will be thrilled I am sure!  My neighbor asked me to watch her daughters this afternoon for a couple hours so I will do that and then I have to go feed another neighbors cat's and pickup their mail!  Not too exciting!

I hope to finish a Jodi Picoult book I am reading!

Stay warm and dry!

Jen

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hello all, I had my 3rd fill a couple of weeks ago. I seem to have restriction more when drinking then when I eat food. Taking a potassium( a big oblong aspirin  like pill) is very uncomfortable even broke in half), I can eat salads with no problems, My weight loss is slower but still ok. I  don't do well at eating 3 meals a day, I usually end up eating more and only 2 meals. My favorite is 3/4  cup of chili with lots of meat, beans and  a dollop of sour cream, a bit of cheese and onion. Sometimes I eat it a both meals. Can I be ok with this?  Do you miss having a regular sandwich, I do. I've tried a half of piece of toast with no problems , but it wasn't worth cheating for.  Before surgery I bought these special little pretty plates and bowls which now seems unnecessary. I really question if I am going to fail this, Does anyone out there relate to this?

After more than a year with the band, I still find each day to be different in what I can eat. I do always eat three "meals" but they are small and frequently I have something in between--usually a cheese stick or a protein bar or a half banana. The most important thing is to get the 60 grams of protein. I still count the protein daily. As to repeating the meal, I do that a lot, because even though my partner also has had the surgery, it is still hard to make small amounts of food. I like the chili meal and also black beans with hamburger, cheese, onion and low fat sour cream. I eat all my meals on salad size plates or small paper plates. I don't usually eat salads but if I do I put them in a small bowl like 1/2 c size. There are days when I could eat a sub sandwich and other days when a small cottage cheese is plenty. This is a really great experience at listening to my body.

Give yourself time to learn what works for you! Good luck!

Connie

Sorry I haven't been around lately.

I have been trying to get by to write, but spring break is always so much extra screwing around.

It is wearing me out.

In a couple weeks I will be all back on tract.

Anyway, I am still losing weight. I still feel great.

I have been dating and working and going to school.

Ran out to mom's this last weekend and changed out 3 toilets. She always saves all the work around her house for when I go visit her.  So i put a new toilet in the upstairs bathroom, then I took the one from upstairs downstairs and put it in there. Then I took the downstairs toilet out to our cabin and put the downstairs toilet in the cabin. The cabin one froze and cracked this winter. I think it froze and one of my brothers bratty kid**** it with something and broke it. But it is new now.  Well, new-used.

All is going good. School is going good. I am on spring break this week, so I am actually getting time to screw around and study.

It is nice.

Everyone have a good day.

First day of Spring Break.  I am feeling antsy, but we didn't do much today, just went to the bank, to Meijer, and to gas up.  I went swimming my regular time.

No clue if the rest of the week will continue to be this exciting.

Crystal, good luck tomorrow, I will try to go out to visit you on Wednesday.
