Support Group in Gurnee, IL Area??

Okay, so I originally posted looking for a Support Group in Rockford area, well, scratch that!

My hubby just got laid off so we are relocating to our hometown of Round Lake, IL.

Any support groups in that area??

I can't help you out with the support groups but did want to pop in and say hello and to tell ya I'm sorry to hear your DH lost his job.  I too lost mine last week.

Heather, if you go to Forum Home here on the IL board on the left side is upcoming events. They list the different groups that meet. Some are patients only and others are open to the public. The Kane Group is one of the largest that is open to the public and then I do believe there is a group in or around Evanston that meets. With you being up in the NE area of IL you might want to see if there is a group in and around Milwaukee that is open to the public. there is also one that meets near Woodstock.

Wow, those areas are much further then I can drive.

Sweetie, I am there with you regarding the cost of things today etc. I am not really sure that there are any close to you. There is of course the board here on OH, stop into the daily roll call. There are a bunch of great people. Maybe it might be one sided with the internet but most of us try to be receptive and help when they can. If you feel comfortable with someone you might exchange a telephone number or two. There is a girl named Wendy W that lives up there in Waukegan that pops in once in a while.
