HAPPY ST. PATRICK DAY TO IL, I am loving the weather so again we are going to the park for a long walk again today  My dogs are loving it too they both hate the cold as much as I do ,
Last night we had a great Rockford support meeting and had new friends join us,

Well I need to get my work out started so better get going hope everyone enjoys the nice day

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

Happy St. Paddy's to everyone!

I am making the office's corned beef and cabbage overnight tonight, as our boss is out of town until tomorrow.  Since he is paying for it, it would be rude to have it without him.

I guess I will be attending the school board meeting tonight to show solidarity with my other Band Booster members.  I don't really want to go, but I should.

Tomorrow, it is back to normal (short) hours for me, so I can get back to the machines at the school.  I really enjoyed working out there last week.  I hope Liv joins me.

We DID have a great group last night, met some new friends and everything.  I will make a separate post about the skin care product here in a minute or so......

Besides that, nothing much else is going on.  Has anyone heard from "beyondthebeauty" as to how her surgery went?   Come out, come out, where ever you are.........

Have a great, green day and tell someone that you love them!

Good morning,

Oh...I forgot it was St.Patty's day.  I had to send Maddie to school today  in Blue.  They are going to Chicago today to the Shed.  I hope today is better.  Well...it will  be better because I'm going to MAKE it better!!  I'm going to school for a bit to work on PTO stuff and then to the park to get my jog in.  Okay, are you ready for this....I ran 4 miles on Sunday!!  The scale is moving slow:)  Biggest loser is on tonight, so I know what I'm doing tonight!!  Why wasn't Connie and Kay there last night?  TTYGS!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone.

I am looking forward to get out in the sun today.Yeah vitamin d.  I am getting ready to go to Washington Saturday for four dys with 42 eighth graders and three chaperones.  I've been watching the weather and it will be mid 50's which isn't too bad.  I have already told them no shorts.  It will be very cool in the mornings aand we don't get bac****il late at night.  It is 4 very long days, but they all have a great time.

The students are already in shorts here as of yesterday and more today.  Even with the drop for tomorrow I'll stil see shorts. It is just a regular school day and I have to get caught up on paperwork.

Have a nice day.

Aleece -
Three chaperones for 42 kids with raging hormones does not seem like enough.  I'll be sending prayers your way.  I grew up in Indianapolis and remember a three day trip to Chicago my freshman year of highschool and ummmm lets just say I'm ashamed of my actions.  Thank goodness and I did not turn out too bad.  LOL

Have fun and be safe.

Christina,

Believe it or not three is enough.  Some of these students have travelled all over the world.  We also have some safety built in.  They a;; have to be with at least one person at all times and they wear wristbands with an 800 number.

Thanks for your thoughts.

8th graders/hormones you are correct. Also with the 8th graders they are still acting like kooks and are not savy to being in public alone with out their parents.

I sorta agree with Christina about the ratio, but if your school says okay then that is all right. Dave and I used to chaperone district 214 orchesta back in the mid 80's to mid 90's. That was tiring. We had more adults to students back then. They found every excuss in the book to stay back in a room with their boy/girl friend when the rest went on a tour. They wanted to play the hookie pookie and not cards

The tour company uses a 1 to 15 ratio.  This is not a school sponsored trip so the chaperones are other teachers and not parents.  I met with the students today and one more meeting Thursday.
