Droopy goopy rainy Monday roll call.
Good morning!
It was good to see the sun today after so much rain. There is water standing everywhere around town. We got the whole March amount in one weekend! I suppose that doesn't guarantee the rest of March will be dry--Ha Ha!
Sounds like the event was fun. Kay's workshop was well attended and people liked it. I stayed with my knitting friends for some of the day. Then we both were exhausted. Yesterday we got pedicures at Asha at Cherryvale--such a treat!
We'd love to do the summer event at Starved Rock or the other place. The only commitment we have right now is the OH event and 4th of July weekend. Starved Rock is hard to book unless the economy has changed their usual schedule, so we ought to get on this. As far as I'm concerned, we could go just about anywhere where we could hang out together! There is a hotel in Rockford with a huge play pool too.
Have a great day!

Not much on the agenda today....must run to the grocery store for a few items for this weeks dinners. Got a call last night that my cousin in North Carolina passed away. He was only 52. I only met him once in my life. What a shame. My uncle has lost three of his six children.
Have a great day everyone...keep dry.
Me, well I am still working on getting myself back on track. I've got my appointment with Dr. Guske next Monday and will get a little more out of my band.
I've been so busy with work and my condo association board stuff. Work is really a challenge, but I am happy to have a job. My main focus has to be me though. I am not looking to date anyone for now, as that has messed me up physically and psychologically. The men I have met, suck. Being healthy and thin doesn't guarantee finding a soul mate. Just warning my single friends here.
I would encourage everyone to go to the OH conference this June. It's rare that we have it in Chicagoland. Take advantage of it. Even if it is a birthday or whatever, you will be glad you did. I've been to several out of the state and didn't regret going to any of them.

Hope Christina is doing well and resting at home. Any news on Carla K? My prayers are with both of them.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Lucy

We ended up taking him to the ER on Friday night. He looked like a drug addict...dark circles, coughing, moaning, and just limp with a small fever. I was really freaked out when the Tylenol and Nebulizer stopped helping him. So I took him and he had pherengitis. They gave him some steroids for the coughing and an anti-biotic.
We had a small group of people on Saturday night - just for cake and ice cream and then we were done.
Yesterday I was in LaGrange for a cousins get togheter.
I am so glad to be at work so I can slow down a little!

I agree that the time change throws everything off-kilter for a short time. My cat REALLY does not get it when his feeding time changes by an hour through no fault of his.
It is sunny here, but we got a lot of water everywhere. We got some in our basement and the Shop-Vac blew up last year, so no good way to clean it up.
I am always up for a get together and Starved Rock sounds good. So......it looks like we have lots of opportunities coming up for seeing each other.....Lucy's, Paul's, Starved Rock, OH conference in June, A Day in Rock City in July.............WONDERFUL!!!! It is great to share this journey with so many wonderful friends.
I wound up making a roast beef last night and will post the recipe. It turned our really good, flavorful and moist. I also made my family's favorite au gratin potatoes, peas and carrots (for them) and roasted asparugus (for me). We did not get a change for "Anna and the King", so we are going to have to fit that in somewhere this week.
Liv and I (and maybe our neighbor) are going to take advantage of the school's circuit training equipment together. The cost for me is $1.00 per visit and only .50 for Liv. I think that working out together might help Liv to see that it CAN be fun (did I REALLY say that???) and it might help her to be a bit healthier too. We did it on Friday and I felt it over the weekend. I also got the new bike from our neighbors and it looks like it will be more of a challenge than my old one on which I have worn the tension wheel completely down.
Everyone have a splendid day and tell someone that you love them!
Sounds like I missed a great get together. I'm glad you all had a great time. I've been laying low today. My company over the weekend did me in. I was on my feet way more then I should have and I'm just trying to keep both feet elevated today.
Not much else going on. I love the idea of Starved Rock. Sounds like a blast. I'm also excited about the conference in June.
Lucy, thanks for the kind words.. I'm doing pretty good.
Hope everyone has a blessed day.

It's just not in me to let others help! Geez... Miss independent. I've always been that way. It's a hard habit to break but I will try. Let me go get me little bell and I can ring it when I need something. Oh wait.. There's no one here to help. LOL
We can work out travel arrangements. I have no problem picking you up or dropping you off. Just say the word.
