WEDNESDAY ROLL CALL!!
Morning all!
Getting ready for school and work.
I am making a big pork roast today. I cut up a couple potatoes and threw the roast in the crockpot on simmer. I am using vegtable broth. (I found it at Walmart and thought it looked like something that would be good in my roast.) SO I will let it simmer all day, until I get back home at about 5:30 toninght.
Last time I did it I came home from work to find out my son ate about 3/4 the roast.
I ended up just dumping a couple cans of a bunch of different veggies into the broth and let it simmer some more so I would have something to eat. It made the best veggie soup I have ever made. I bought about a 3lbs roast this time. If he eats it all he is walking to the store to buy me another one.
I get back a couple of my midterms today. I am happy. I think I did pretty well. I also have to make music in front of my Cultural Music class using something becides musical instruments. I am using a basketball and squeeking my shoe on the floor. I hope it turns out ok.
Anyway, gotta get going.
Everyone have a good day. It looks like it is going to be a good day to take a walk this afternoon.
God Bless.
Dave

Good morning! I am not thrilled with being up this early, but it's Wednesday and I meet friends for breakfast that day. Once I really wake up I'll be fine. Had a great day yesterday--worked a half day and just hung out with my friends. Today I interview potential medical students which is fun.
Not much other news right now.
Have a good day.

Hello everyone
I'm one day closer to my surgery!!!
I wi**** was Friday. I had a bad work day yesterday. We had a meeting with one of the corporate guys about our procedures. He wasn't listening to a word I said. He is one those guys that will never see women as his equal. So basically it was a long day of banging my head against the wall.
More good news. My daughter was just offered a prestigious summer internship at the Smoky Mountains State Park . Only 4 people were offered positions and my daughter was one of them!!! Her position will be Restoration Ecologist. They pay her room and board and plane ticket there and back. This is great for her because she is an Environmental Science major. I'm so excited for her. Although, I will miss her since she won't be home for the summer.
Christina- good luck on your surgery. I will send you lots of healing vibes.
Eileen- I hope everything is ok with you stomach and they find the cause of your pain and fix it.
Well have a good day.
Dave, I am trying to imagine music from a basketball and shoes. You will have to do a demo at our get together! Sounds really interesting! As for your chow hound son, just think of it as a complement to the chef. It must have tasted really good.
Yesterday we were slow at work so I asked for and go the afternoon off. I went and got flowers for my neighbor. She took early retirement and Saturday was her last day. We visited for awhile, then I came home, made protein ice cream, and headed to the YMCA for some swim time.
Had to take Fluffer in for his shots last night and you would of thought he was being killed from all the noise he made. He does NOT want to be confined. He was fine in the doctors office but in the carrier is another story.
Today is my appointemnt with the tax accountant. Will be interesting to see if I owe money or get money back. Hmmm hope it is money back. After last week, could use some.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Dave, I am sure you did great on your midterms! The roast sounds yummy. I don't know what I'm making for dinner yet.
I have to go to the grocery store today and get that done, then homewor****il Tyler calls to let me know he's ready to be picked up from school. He stays after some days to use the weight room. Other than that, nothing going on around here.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, warm and safe day today!
Yesterday was a long and bad day for me. My morning meeting lasted into the early afternoon. I had a conference call in the afternoon and didn't get home until after 4 pm. For me, that's late! Then I had my association board meeting. We had one of the homeowners yelling, shouting and verbal abusive to the board and had to call the police! I was scared. Didn't get home until 10:30, a 3 hour meeting. Ughhh!! I am mentally exhausted today.
Today there are NO meetings! YAY!!!

We're so busy here as we are about to launch a new computer system for the hospital that also involves training our docs. Guess who gets to help with training??? Me! A week later, we are also introducing a mobile portal system that allows docs to view data on their blackberry or other mobile devices. Then we have over 100 docs being reappointed to the staff. I have to get their reapplications printed and reviewed, and have the Chairs of the departments review all before March 26th.
I feel so stressed now. I know it will get done. I only have a part time person and then to top it off, she is going for software training for 3 days during the week we are going live with new system. She has to take off the additional time she is working because the classes are all day long - so she will be out of the office for 3 whole days in addition to the 3 days she is at class. Ughhhh!!! It couldn't have come at a worse time.
Well, enough about me! At least I have a job.
Christina, hope your foot surgery goes well and you have a short recuperation period.
Crystal, I hear you about the corporate people. They have their own ideas already.
Dave, your roast sounds yummy! How can your son eat so much meat???
Connie, I'd love to interview the med students with you!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday!
Lisa, I won't be at the meet and greet on Saturday. I'm not the best one to ask about choices with the band. I think others here can be more helpful. I'm sure you could teach me a thing or two!
Hugs,
Lucy

Lucy, We are also in the transition to electronic health records and we go live this week in the first clinic. It has been an exhausting process so far. Fortunately our clinic is the last one because we are "different", meaning the EHR really isn't set up for psych notes and so we will basically be typing our own notes instead of dictating. Don't get me started on how awful this will be! I certainly understand what you have in front of you!
