HI EVERYONE,
I WENT TO SEE THE SURGEON TODAY AND I AM HAVING TO HAVE MY LAPBAND TAKEN OUT. MY TORTYOUS ESOPHAGUS HAS NO ROOM WITH THE BAND. SO I AM GOING TO RE SUBMIT TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE RNY. I AM REALLY EXCITED
, I WAS SO SCARED THINKING OF LOSING MY BAND. 
DR. RANTIS WAS SO SUPPORTIVE IT MADE MY DAY. ANYONE WHO HAS HAD THE RNY AND HAS ANY HELP I CAN GET FOR INFORMATION. PLEASE WRITE BACK TO ME I AM SCARED..I AM GOING TO SEMINAR THIS SATURDAY. HOPING TO GET TO THE GET TOGETHER IF I FIND A WAY.

Hi Marilyn,
I had the RNY done three weeks ago today and have already lost 25 pounds. Dr. Guske was my surgeon - He is fabulous. I have had no complications except for slight nausea that comes and goes. It is triggered by movement and/or food. I went back to work after 10 days, but my job is not that strenuous. I should have waited another week because I feel much better and less exhausted by the end of the day this week.
I had pain from two incisions (especially where the drain was positioned) for about 10 days. After that, it was more discomfort than pain. Having a hard time buttoning my slacks because the snugness around my waist seems to trigger the nausea. I wish you all the best in getting insurance approval for the RNY. I have no regrets.

DID YOU GO TO INTENSIVE CARE AFTER THE SURGERY. HOW LONG WERE U IN HOSPITAL. WHICH HOSPITAL DID YOU GO TOO. WHAT WAS YOUR STARTING WEIGHT? I AM KINDA SCARED. I HAD THE LAPBAND AND I AM HAVING IT REMOVED AT THE SAME TIME. I WOULD LIKE TO BE FRIENDS WITH Y OU TO FOLLOW THROUGH OUR PROGRESS IF ITS OK WITH YOU.
