bcbs of IL insurance for vertical sleeve

Has anyone had the sleeve done and had blue cross blue shield of IL?

I don't know if you got you answer elsewhere yet, but BCBS of Il denied my DS two years ago. At the time, they said the VSG and DS were "experimental." That's BS because the DS has been around for 20+ years and is now covered by the federal government via Medicare. The VSG is newer as a stand-alone weight loss surgery, and there are no long-term stats, so I can see some wiggle room for them on that.
 
You may want to ask this question on the VS board on OH. I'll bet those folks have good info to share.
