Morning all -

Well you've heard it from 1/2 doz others but I'm gonna say it too...  You need to get more calories/protein in Dave.  This will make you sick and weak.  Your starving your body and with a busy schedule like you have, one needs to keep the ole' bod healthy and happy.

I don't have too much planned for today.  I have to have a physical, bloodwork and ekg done for my upcoming surgery.  Then I'll be heading into work.

Good Morning Everyone!!

I have a busy day today.  I have to make sure I get everything done at work by tomorrow.  I also have a paper I need to write for my English class, get the housework and laundry caught up, and take my Mom to see the doctor.   On top of all that I am in an archery league every Wednesday evening.  Not sure how I will accompli**** all but at least it will keep me busy and not thinking about the upcoming surgery on Friday.

By the way.  You guys are great!!  I may not get on a lot but just reading your posts and knowing I am not along during this life changing adventure means alot to me.  I hope all have a great and safe day.

 Good Morning all!  I took my first Anatomy quiz last night and I knew all the parts!  Even the extra credit ones.  It's good to be back in school.  It's only been 20 years.  Tonight we start Swedish Massage which looks to be fun and a bit easier.  I must say that school for 4 hours a night has me pooped.  But it is only for 9 more months and then I'll be ready to sit for my boards.  Food wise, I'm still not loosing very fast, but I'm okay with that for now.  I am excersizing every other day and that is going well.  Today I woke with a slight headache so I'm going to try and take it easy until class tonight.  Dave, I know everyone is saying the same thing, but I'll add my 2 cents worth.  The body looks at the intake at the moment and adjusts for that.  So it says, "Hay, we only have 200 calories coming in and we need 2000, slow down the furnace so we can survive", even though there's six months of reserves in the waist!  So it's better to bring your caloric intake back up to 1500 - 2000 which is still way lower than it was when you were gaining.  The body will keep the matabolism up and will burn 3500 (just a guess) thus meaning you will be burning an extra 1500 a day or a pound loss every 2 days!  This is why so many of us plateu after a while even though we are still only eating small amounts.  Not to mention that when the body slows the matabolism, our energy slows way down which is not good.  So eat!  Make it healthy and protein based, but eat!  Good luck.

THings are good here.  Had a great long weekend, thanks to our Board of Directors.  They decided to add another holiday for us and we get President's Day now!

Not much here, I am at my Group Home today and then to the Y.  I love the recumbant bike - it's the only thing that doesn't hurt my knees.

Eat Dave, Eat!  If not eating, make sure to drink you protein.  It is VERY important as everyone has already told you.

I am working today and I am actually very busy so this is just a quick, "Hello" to all my firends.

Just to add Dave that at 429 and male you will burn 5148 calories a day if you didno exercise at all.  Driving the busand walking to class like burns another 300 or more so say we round up to 5500 calories.  That means you could have 2000 calories a day if you had not had RNY and lose a pound a day.  With RNY you should, I think lose more.  So find a way to get in 2000 calories a day for the next few months or you are going to do bad things to your organs.

Good afternoon to all! I have nothing to do but sit wow that's a first in  along while. I will be going to exercise class at 4 when I get my 52 kids all safely delivered home!

My mom loves the ****z Su puppies too! Hers recently passed away, she wants another so much since shes alone. The problem is she can not afford one since shes on a fixed income with very little extras.


I had an appointment the 5th of Feb with Dr R and had a small unfill and blood work done, well the unfill did wonders but the cholesterol was too high. It was 256....the bad was 171.... so he faxed this to my PCP and he put me on Crestor....In 4 weeks he will retest to see if it has come done some....I was upset to think lose 110 pounds and then have your cholesterol numbers go up even more then before when I was heavy....

Dave you really need to set a schedule on eating to make sure you get in the required proteins you need or you will get sick for sure. The lack of proper nutrient will leave you with all sorts of trouble!!!!!!!!!!
