HI All,

Going to visit some friends church today, so I am up early to get ready. Then its about an hour away to their house.

We are probably going out afterwards. Lunch somewhere.

I spent 7 hours car shopping yesterday with a lady from work.   It was a long day. I was totally pooped at the end of the day. I ended up not getting to go out for Valentine's Day....

It was cold all day yesterday, and the wind was strong. My lips are all chapped up. I need to buy some lip stuff today.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good Sunday.

See Ya.

Morning Dave and Illinois.

I am still here, eating has been bad.  I either don't eat, or eat crap.

Mom is now in the transitioning part.  She woke yesterday and wanted all of her kids at her bedside.  She hasn't opened her eyes since.  This is the hardest thing I have done, and hope you all can understand about not being here right no  I think of you all everyday.

((((((Dee))))))

This is such a hard time for you and your family right now.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  There is nothing that can be said or done to make it easier.  Just know that by being there you are a comfort to your mom and are fufilling her wishes.  She knows you are there whether she opens her eyes or not.  Hang in there!

Morning Dave and my Illinois Family.

Dave, try using a bit of vaseline on your lips until you get to get some lip balm. You did a good thing yesterday.

Today all I am doing is a picking up the house, and watching the Datona 500. We are big Nascar fans, and try to get to at least one race every summer. It doesn't always happen, but we try.

I am going to make some stuffed mushrooms to nibble on while watching the race. This is something
I haven't made in ages. They will be stuffed with more protein then bread, to make them more wls friendly, and also double as lunch.

I hope all our friends with colds are feeling better today.

Welcome home Lucy.

Christine, I copied your Chicken soup in a jar receipe. I put it in my holiday file for next Christmas. With an idea to make a basket out of it by adding 2 soup bowls (from the $ store), 2 spoons, and a box of special crackers. This is something my DH can use to give his girls ( at work)as gifts.

Stay warm and safe today.

Huggers

Lisa, thanks for the input on the soup. I like your ideas on the basket.  It (the mix) is so easy. I had a production line at Christmas for making the jars. It is a great tasting soup also. I made some for Dave yesterday as he is down with a cold and needed something warm in his tummy.
