Tablets can be crushed.  Most capsules can be opened unless they are time-released and these shouldnt be.

Muli-Vitamins come in all forms.  I prefer taking chewable but I have liquid and didnt like the taste.  Its preference.

All the vitamins I take are chewable.

Multi-vitamins, iron, calcium.

I take liquid VitD (there is also D in my calcium), I take the Vit B that goes under your tongue. It dissolves there and goes straight into the blood stream.

I have been taking a Saw Palmetto (sp?) as a capsule and I just dump it into my Vit. D liquid drink.

I am a herb junkie. Actually my mom is a Herbalist. So i take a bunch of different herbs. Mostly greens, and stuff for my "manlyness". I don't want to turn into a woman. I can't eat that much chocolate.

So go to a good Vitamin store, or even Walgreens or Jewel and look for the chewable Vitamins, liquids, and the sublinqual Vit B. Or get ahold of someone who sells Herbalife of some other herb company. It is the best way to go.

Woo Hoo, hott mama,  you only have a couple more days don't you? I am happy for you. I'll pray for you too.

There are a few companies out there that have chewables and liquid. GNC has liquids. I used their B-complex in liquid form. Centrum has a chewable, Shaklee has a liquid multi called Vita-Lea. You need to find a Shaklee distributor to obtain their supplements. I am a Shaklee distributor. Whole Foods has a great supplement area. They have a fantastic Cal Citrate wafer that is chewable. I crushed my Cal Citrate for 6 months but took liquids or chewables for the rest of them.

Forgot to mention a vitamin store called The Vitamin Shoppe, there is one in Arlington Heights in a strip mall on the SW corner of Rand and Arlington Heights Rd near the Trader Joes. They have a huge selection of EVERYTHING. http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/content/en/stores/listing.jsp?a ddress=&city=&stateProvince=&postalCode=60004&radius=10&x=0& y=0

I started taking regular medicines, non crushed the day after I left the hospital except for chewable vitamins.  Those I waited a month to start the tablet form.  My surgeon said that as long as the pill was no bigger than an m & m it was safe to take.  A pill splitter can work wonders.  Crushed or open pills can taste nasty!

I like Optisource, they are made for bariatic patients and are chewable, they provide a wide variety of of vitamins, calcium and you take 4 a day. Each bottle is one months worth.
