Pain
John
I am sorry you are having so much pain. Did your surgeon give you any pain meds? If not, call them and ask for a prescription! I did not have lap band so I dont know about a heating pad but it doesn't sound like a good idea to me. A lot of my discomfort was from the gas they use to blow you up. Walking lots, makes the gas go away faster. Also, you might want to post this question on the lap band forum as well. You will find lots of band experts there. Hope you feel better soon. Congrats on you surgery!

John, the only pain I had from my band surgery was the gas where they pump it into your abdomen. It hurt so bad. I walked alot. The pain med he gave me also made me have more pain. I found out the hard way that I could not tolerate it on the small amount of food a loud at that stage. I still can not take it. It makes me hurt so bad and I feel like I am going to pass out. I even break out in a cold clammy sweat. I feel like I am having a hot flash too. The pain is so bad I even have labored breathing!
I would call your surgeon and explain the pain to him he will tell you what to do.
Best wishes!
Karen
