Friday Roll Call

Good morning IL friends. The weather here is getting colder and we had rain last night. I was checking the weather around California, Arizona and Las Vegas. It seems like the entire Pacific Southwest is having rainy and colder weather.

I went shopping yesterday and bought a few sales items at Walmart. Spent a little time in the jacuzzi.

I'm up later than usual - so here I am starting the daily morning post.

Living the life of luxury out there I see.

"Oh, I spent some time in the jacuzzi, then had Benson fix me a drink, then I got a massage......"

Well, we are going to have 50+ temps tomorrow.

Everyone is comming to my house to roll around in the snow. (Its about 5 foot tall next to my house, because they piled it all up there.) So It can be 80 for a week and I will still have snow to roll around in.

Anyway, I get to go to work today................. Haa haa Lucy, you don't get to go to work today!

And I have to do a powerpoint presentation on how Carlos Santana influenced American music, another thing you don't get to do today.

I am thinking running out to see mom in Indiana this weekend. She got about 15 inches of snow the other day. So I want to go run her around. I like playing in the snow in my little Element. (Haa Haa Lucy, I bet there isn't 15 inches of snow out there!) 


So all is good.

Good morning Dave. It's bright and early here in Palm Springs, just after 6 a.m. I'm having my morning cup of Joe.

We're expecting on and off rain for the next 2 to 3 days. Ughhhh!!! So it sounds like shopping for me and maybe take in a movie or two. In between the showers, jacuzzi time.

Are you offering to come here and give me a massage???

Ah, you are very crafty. Me, no work!! YAY!!! I am though checking voice messages. Those idiots are leaving me messages knowing that I won't be back for another week and 3 days, and I do leave them an option to call my specialist. Do they take the hint, NO!!

One of these days, we'll have to have an IL get together and roll around the snow naked! Then we all need hot oil massages.

I don't know why I am up at this ghastly hour except that I am and so I'm checking in. This is Friday so I am not in the office today and I plan to be knitting. Yeah! I cleaned out my knitting "stash" last night and got it organized--a major project. If you haven't lived with a knitter you can't imagine what this is.

Lucy, I'm glad you are out having fun--keep it up! Rain or not, it's not being at work!

Once you get that kntting stash organized, I could use your help in getting my papers at home organized!  Just kidding my friend.

At least I am in good company here with my sister and I have a car so I can get out....

Kay is perfectly fine. She had absolutely no problems or pain after her gallbladder surgery!

Lucy, I could use help in getting my papers organized too! I love the yarn; it's hard to love papers! LOL

I am scared of my stash - I don't even want to organize it.  It has overtaken my extra bed room!

Well there's a song by Jim Croce that says :Tomorrow's Gonna Be a Brighter Day", and sure enough, I sang it yesterday, and today is here.  Last night I got a call from a friend from my previous job.  She was one of the first lay offs earlier in the year and we have kept in touch.  She has some contract work for me!  It is the kind of thing I can do from home and earn a good amount of money for a short time.  She said it will last anywhere from one to two months and I can make my own hours.  I'll know more today or monday.  Thanks everybody for all your words of support yesterday!  I've already done my workout this morning and now I'm off to shower and assume the daycare position!  BTW, I will definately want to go with the group to the Rosemont event if and when it happens!  We should start thinking about another get together!  We are past due.  Any takers???  Enjoy the warm temps...
