HELP!
I posted this on the main message board... and well... I only got 3 replies. Did anyone else go through this kind of problem? Im not talking a few days of not going... I am talking a few weeks. Any thoughts on this would be great, Thank You!
My original post:
Ok, now I am stumped. I thought maybe I had a bowel obstruction... but I am not in any pain. I dont poop (even with MOM, Miralax, Glycerin Suppositories, benefiber, apple juice, or colace). I know this is probably TMI but I am truely at my wits end with whats going on with my body. I eat B, L, D and have protein shakes. I drink water and take my vitamin in the morning. I am not losing weight (and if I am then my clothes must be shrinking because my fat girl stuff is still fitting) and I think I am on week 4 of a plateau. I honestly was begining to think I had a bowel obstruction... but I am not in any pain at all. Has ANYONE else gone through what I am going through? I thought maybe my old tummy went to my new tummy and reattached itself because Im never full and I dont feel yucky after eating 4 or even 5 ounces of any kind of food. I can gulp water and have no ill effects. Sugar does not cause me to dump (my stupid nut told me to try inducing dumping and like and idiot I did and I STILL DIDNT POOP!)
I have tried many things just to go #2 and my surgeon isnt taking my worries seriously, plus she is very bad about returning my calls. I feel like a huge failure.
What more can I do to spend a day
losing some weight?
Sorry for laying my business out there for all to read, but I seriously need people to talk to me about this. I thought MAYBE there was an answer to this (bowel obstruction) but everyone keeps saying that you are typicaly in pain... and well.... Im not in pain. I was hospitalized 2 weeks after surgery for dehydration, but drink plenty of water now. Ever since I got home from that hospital stay I have felt good (with the exception that being in the heat makes me vomit!) and my only real concern is no poop = no weight loss. Anyone wanna play Doctor and diagnose me?? lol
Kathy

Hi Kathy...
No playing doctor for me...but first of all, I would just call and call and call and annoy the CRAP out of my doc!! (no pun intended...ok a little)
I always kid around on here about this, but SERIOUSLY, it works for me...
Sugar free chocolate.... if I eat about 4-5 of those little sugar free hershey chocolate bars OR a cup of the "no sugar added" chocolate pudding, and it's as if I had taken that PHOSPHO soda they made me take before surgery!
LOL!!
I know that's HIGHLY UN-scientific, but man..it never fails me. I keep some on hand for just that reason! LOL!
Girl, your doctor owes you a call. Don't accept being ignored.
I wish you all the best...keep us posted on how you are doing...
(By the way...it's NOT real uncommon to hit a KILLER plateau at the point you are at...it will come...promise.)
