Awwww......***turning red from blushing*** thanks Tami! I actually saw this post on the main messageboard earlier today, and I wasn't sure if you guys checked out the main board. So I wanted you all to know what this dumb-dumb thinks of us. And in turn, we have ALL let her know what we think of her. I realize that Canada is like most European countries in that the government pays for the healthcare (vs. the plethora of insurance options we have here in the US), but if the government doesn't pay for the surgery, then they are still paying for diabeties supplies, C-Pap machines, etc. That adds up over the years! I still, to this day, do not understand why alcoholics and drug addicts are accepted by society as sick individuals who need help, but obese individuals are looked at as freaks of nature. I have a feeling that she will never read all of the emails that will flood her inbox over the next few days. And you know what, that's okay if she never reads all of them. She will know from the sheer volume of emails that she screwed with the wrong bunch of individuals that stand together as one to let her know what a dumba$$ she is. While we do not force our choice to have surgery upon anyone (mainly because we know that this is not for everyone, but also because some of us are made to feel ashamed of the decision we made), we will damn sure defend our right to a healthier life. That being said, she can take a flying leap. Deep cleansing breath......step away from the soapbox Ginger..... While I stay a lurker most of the time, I love each and every one of you very much. Like Cathy said, we are very much a family. Yes, we lead different lives, but we can come here to uplift and support each other in ways no one else can. Thank you guys for being my friend and family. OMG...She has absolutely no idea what the HELL she is talking about. You are right, she needs to do research instead of speaking from PERSONAL experience so to speak as she says. Just because she lost the weight does that mean she will keep it off???? Oh that has really struck a nerve with me as well. Some people will never learn the truth..just what they want to think.
