I began running last July, so about a year ago They do have a training group specifically for the Peachtree, but I didn't do that. My training group is for the Chicago Marathon in October. Woohoo! My first 10k was last november, the strong legs run in Atlanta for the children's hospital. I was 6 minutes faster in that race than the Peachtree...heat and humidity really takes its toll on you

That would be fun!!! Applications come out the 3rd Sunday in March. I get the sunday paper on Saturday and send it in EARLY! Those spots fill in fast. I heard there are about 20 000 that don't get a number. Here is a link of the race (hope it works!) The guy in diapers with the 2 chicks is my marathon coach. http://www.11alive.com/video/player.aspx?aid=41434&sid=65697&bw= if that doesn't work go to 11alive.com and click on Peachtree Costumes. I also got my pic taken with the guys painted like flags.

Congratulations on finishing! One day I hope to enter as it has always been a goal for me. I saw your post about how you've trained...good stuff! Good luck in October as well!
