Grats on the weight loss Tammy Did you know that you can check the message boards for folks who have had surgery in the same month/year you did? It should be one of the blue links on the left side of your screen under Other Message Boards. Kia 284/209/155 ish

Hi Tammy, I'm a few weeks behind you but I have done well with minnestroni soup, low or no sugar yogurt (the carb options has around 8 grams protein and atkins has 12). I ate chicken pot pie and it sat well (only a tiny bit of crust tho), the chicken from chicken and dumplings (I think the broth makes the chicken extra tender). Oatmeal, with milk added to make it thin and splenda of course. Also, and I shouldn't admit it but the mini cheeze-it crackers sit well, especially when I need something a bit more dry. Skim milk is good for protein intake too. Watermelon and some of the baby fruits. I am eating every 2 hours per docs orders and usually about 3-4 ounces at a time. I am learning to stop as soon as I even begin to feel THE POUCH, if you know that feeling. I think having the fobi might make me feel that, I'm not sure. The losing weight part is what keeps ya going... congratulations!! I am losing some weight but still not feeling up to par and have zero energy. keep it up girl!! Barb

Tammy My surgery date was April 27th. I had lost 48 pounds total at my 6 week check up. 20 pre surgery and 28 post surgery. I have not weighed in the past 2 weeks. I do not have a scale at home. At my 6 week apt I met with the dietition. I can eat lots of different things now. I have cold or warm cereal for breakfast (low fat and low sugar) about 1/2 cup with skim milk, and 1/2 cup of fruit(fresh or canned). I have chicken, fish or pork (about 1/2 cup) for lunch with a couple of ounces of vegetable or fruit-and the same for dinner. I can also have whole wheat toast and deli meat so a couple of times I have taken one piece of toast and cut it in half to make a small sandwitch. There are several fresh fruits that I can have now. The dietition told me to work up to 1000 calories a day. I usually eat about 800, but a couple of times I have reached 1000.
