Not really sure if they are hiring. Try the following: ACS (Affiliated Computer Services) they have some healthcare contracts. MDA, Inc. --770-246-9191 Today's Staffing (Healthcare Staffing) DDS Staffing (Medical and Dental Administrative Staffing) I am sorry I don't have the phone number to all of them.

I work for Travelers Insurance Co in Alpharetta, GA.. We handle auto, workers comp and homeowners claims and I know they are hiring. If you have a background in insurance, I think you would have a good chance because they have hired several people that have never worked in insurance before. You can go to the St Paul/Travelers wedsite and pull up the available positions. Good luck.

Hey I am a professional recruiter. I use to be a recruiter for the medical industry. Currently I am recruiting for the insurance industry. I would be happy to take a look at your resume. Have you tried the job sites? The sites www.monsterboard.com , www.hotjobs.com, www.greatinsurancejobs.com would be a good start. Yahoo has a job board. I would not only apply to jobs, but I would post my resume on these sites too. I am not sure where you are in Georgia, but I know that AIG and Blue Cross Blue Shield are hiring in the Atlanta area. There are recruiting agencies that only handle medically related positions this may also be a good idea. I also know that there are hospitals in the Atlanta area that are looking for individuals with medical administrative type skills. There is a really good book that helps with interview techniques call Knock'em Dead. They come out with it every year I would guess that they are up to 2005. The formal title would be Knock'em Dead in 2005, but any prior year would work just the same. I know that trying to find a job can be completely frustrating. I am not sure how long you have been looking, but the nationally the time it takes to finally find a decent position has gone from 3 months to about 6-8 months. Keep at it! You may have to find nontraditional ways to find a position. If you are looking for medical billing or coding you may have to approach doctor's offices personally with your resume and any letters of recommendation. I have a contact that is a Practice Manager who may also be able to provide you with some ideas. She may also know of some doctors who are looking for medical billers or coders. I hope that helps.
