Back from Peachtree Bariatrics seminar

First off Dr. Duncan is a trip! Will never look at surgery pics again without thinking on chitlins thanks to him heeee heeee. Kinda miffed though had ALL my paperwork ready and went to turn it in and was abruptly told i would have to mail it in. BUMMER so my butt will be up and off to the post office first thing in the am. For any newbies out there Dr Duncan is still trying to work out some sort of agreement with BCBS so that it will cover surgery especially if you had comorbids. So if your interested in doing this and are concerned call Tracey. Otherwise great seminar!

Hey Sandra, I to was there tonight with my husband, along with Lisa Walls, who had the surgery on may 23rd. She came with a few friends of hers, so we sat together. Yea Dr. Duncan is a trip, all I can think about is the Chitlins, and the fact that men have big bellies for women to lay on and to keep their tool warm, hehehe. I have all my information already filled ouut, but couldn't find the pic I was going to send in, so I'll send mine off Friday. I just hope and pray that BCBS comes to some sort of compromise with Dr. D, as I was told by "Towanna" from BCBS about a week ago that it's up to the employers that take the insurance out whether they will have it in their policy or not, but now after tonight I'm not so sure that that's even right. I'm going to call BCBS tomorrow and talk with Towanna and see what she says. Very well pleased with the seminar tho

Melissa i looked all over for you but didn't see ya where were u sitting? My other half came and is still bad mouthing the whole thing. Where is a bee bee gun when i need it. Not to kill mane maybe. I am sweet and innoncent honest but boy he is on my last nerve lol. yeah the belly things was hilarious nudge my other half on that one and he just rolled his eyes WHATEVER!!!!! wonder what the deal was about turning the stuff in tonight? pics not talking abouit pics they are awful....... I hope you work something out with bcbs keep me posted on how that goes but keep on them like tracy said and maybe u can squeeze thru before changes are made girl. now off to eat dinner and NO IT IS NOT CHITLINS heeee heeeee

Sandra, When you walk in we were sitting on the right hand side about middle ways. As far as the boyfriend goes, I'd just over look him, if he is still stuck on the "you might leave me" phase then he obviously is insecure with himself. Do this for YOU, and just try and overlook him if possible. If he loves you he will stick by your side, if not the it's "poof" be gone. My husband on the other hand is very suppostive, he actually said on the way home " I think I might lose some weight", not have the surgery but lose a few pounds, as he has sleep apnea and has to sleep with the CPAP. I told him that was up to him, he is 6'3", 245 lbs, not that big to me, but thats his decision. My hubby laughed about the belly thing. I told Lisa, I said my Dad is almost 300 lbs., I'll have to tell him that. YOU are eating What, CHITLINS, hehehe.NOT I hate CHITlINS. Hey girl, I called BCBS this morning and ask them about BCBS pulling out, and the lady I spoke with "Jennifer", said she doesn't know anything about them pulling out, she told me that it still has to do with your employer, whether they have it in their plan or not. So I ask her when Lowe's plan was up for renewal, because she said that they might change it then if they no longer wanted to cover bariatric surgery, and she said that the renewal was Jan.06, so I'm hoping and praying that I can have this surgery before then, if not maybe they will still cover it next yr. Awsome Melissa so glad to hear that. try and get as many of your test done with your PCP asap and get this ball rolling maybe you can get it done by mid fall. keep me posted.
