Hey Ya'll I know I am a little ahead of the game, but I am starting to really yearn some variety. So my question is: does anyone know of any sites that give recipes that are suitable for post-op patients. You know, like tried and tested B-day cakes made with splenda, or recipes cooking with soy milk or lactaid for those that are lactose intolerant, or recipes with extra protein or fiber without compromising the taste. Stuff like that. Shoot, if we worked at it, us Georgia Gals could probably come up with a whole cookbook! But for now some leads would be great. Thanks Val

There are some great recipies here on OH under http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/member-interests/cooking_baking/ If you Google the words low carb recipe you can also find some great sites. I also belong to a few Yahoo groups that share recipes. Best of luck getting those goodies! Kia 284/209/155 ish

I got a fantastic cookbook at Barnes and Noble. The name of the cookbook is "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray. It has over 140 low-fat, high-protein recipes that are specific to WLS folks. It gives breakdowns and portions for Lap-Band, Bypass, and BPD-DS (Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch). The book cost $16.95 and was a great investment! Patti
