"Jamming James", a Georgia-based OH member (http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=S1045082194) whose successful RNY gastric bypass was performed in April '04, is a very dear friend of mine. He was my cheerleader while I went through the WLS journey and I've tried my best to be his. Anyway, I just got an email from his cousin saying that James was in a scuba diving accident over the weekend . All that is known so far is that he is in a Georgia hospital in stable condition. I knew that James had been taking lessons, but I had no idea he was this close an actual dive. PLEASE, if you will, keep James and his family in your prayers. He is such a dear, sweet soul who would never harm a fly. I can't understand why such awful things happen to such wonderful people. Can't worry about that now, though. Just please pray that James' injuries are not severe and that he recover quickly and uneventfully. Thank you so much. God bless you all!! Amy Young, OH Staff Open RNY 10/22/03 402/250/265

Thank You Amy for Jamming James' update. Read his profile and he sure was into twothings the Atlanta Falcons and Scuba Diving for sure. I wished we knew what hospital, cause I am sure one of us GA. guys or gals would go and visit him and give an update. Could you go back to your source and try to find out at least what area or what his condition was? That sometimes will tell us which "specialty hospital" he could be in. Nevertheless, We will all pray God's healing hand upon him and his doctor's hands for guideness and wisdom as to what to do next. Keep us posted, as you know more. I attached his profile page so people could wish him God's Blessings. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/status.phtml?N=S1045082194 I see some have already wished him well. Georgia Board Rocks as Tami (Modean Ryan) would say. Many continued prayers Crece

Thanks for the sweet response, Crece. Here's the latest I've heard from James' cousin, Channing: "Ladies, thanks for the kind words. I am sure James appreciates your thoughts and prayers. The latest is that he is in critical but stable condition. According to my aunt he opened his eyes yesterday and show signs of understanding the question he was being asked. I am still getting the facts as to what went wrong but apparently he came up too fast after making his first open water dive. " Still waiting to hear what hospital he is in, but it doesn't sound like he's much up for visitors just yet anyway. He lives in the Whigham, GA area, if that helps. Please continue to keep dear James in your thoughts and prayers. I'll make sure to keep everyone informed of the latest. Blessings to all! Amy
