I'm approved for WLS

BCBS of GA approved the surgery in a day. I'm happy and grateful, but also a little weirded out about how real it all is. I started the actual process in December 2004 by attending a seminar at AMC. By the way, thank you to those *****sponded to my first post. I have learned so much through this site and message board and continue to get valuable advice and insight. Thank you.

Thanks Caren, and congratulations to you. I see you are also going to Peachtree Bariatrics. How long was your wait between your pre-op appointment and your surgery date? I'm waiting for them to call me for a preop appt.

I went to Peachtree Bariatrics on 04/14 I was told what I needed get approved. I needed the following: Dieitcian Visit 05/02 Psych Consult 05/02 Medical Clearance 05/12 I was approved by BCBS on 06/07 I was given surgery date on 06/10 Surgery date is 06/29. I was informed on 06/10 I needed Pulmonary clearance. I got clearance today 06/21!! Hope this is useful! Caren
