question about drain tubes
Thanks Shelly. Its means so much to know people are pulling for me.
Its still one day at a time for me. I battle this awful nausea every minute of the day but I'm just taking one step at a time.
I am walking on my treadmil 2 times a day but not quite up to the 30 minutes I should be. I do 20-25. I have swimmy head going on still and I really feel it after the treadmil.
The weight loss is slow, I think, but I have lost 5 inches from my waist and I'm not fitting into my old skin as tightly...uhg I still feel too crappy to be excited about the loss but it reassures me that I did this for a reason.
I love to see some of the others who are doing so well but it makes me feel wimpy...
But I gain strength from them.
Always remember support is vital, and you've come to the right place.
Thank you for your kind words,
Barb

Shelly, (love the name)
I didn't have one. I had lap RNY and my doctor didn't put one in but I have a friend that used the same doc (her surgery was a year ago) and he put a drain in her so maybe it depends on the person. I'm not really sure why he didn't use one with me. Lap RNY was my 3rd surgery, I had a surgery as a child on my kidney/bladder and also hysterectomy in 1999, I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I recover from surgeries really well. I only stayed one night in the hospital after RNY and the following weekend afterwards had to ride from Alabama to Arkansas to attend my grandmother's funeral. Anyway, I'm getting off the subject.
I'm bad about that. Good luck and God bless with your surgery.
