doctor recommend

I went to Atlanta Bariatrics, Emory Johns Creek. Dr. Johnson performed my RNY surgery on 7/13/09. He is a great doctor. I have reservations though about his office staff. Seems like once they got the approval from insurance, they treat you bad. No help whatsoever. I can highly recommend him, but unfortunately, not his staff. Hospital personel were exceptional also, only operating room nurses don't read charts. Clearly stated on my wristband and on front of chart my allergies, they still disregarded, so I suffered from this. Then I find out I'm allergic to the protein soy, no help on this, even though I'm covered in hives, not eating.
Hazel and Birdie at Emory John's Creek Hospital are the best!

OMG, aren't they the best nurses EVER!  I loved Byrd.  She is so awesome!  She took great care of me and then some!  I don't know about Dr. Johnson's office, I had a revision and he doesn't do revisions.  However, Dr. Hart does and I didn't care to much for him.  But, I LOVE Emory Johns Creek.

yes!
I was so excited about having my surgery, no fear at all and was SO impressed with this hospital. I go to the NUT next week, reservations about that. I have had NO support whatsoever from this office, and because of them, I had some serious setbacks. I'm doing so much better now, due largely to this website. I don't reply but I read so much on here, and it is so helpful.
Well, if you need any help or have question, I'd be glad to share.  I had a band for 5 years and revised to bypass.  My husband had bypass 10 years ago and a band over bypass 4 years ago and just had to have his band removed. He was 518 lbs & now is 241 lbs. I was 250 with band we to 180 gained back to 250 and now down to 192 since 4/09.  Said all that to say, we have a bit of experience in this. Still difficult, but awesome journey.

Hang in there!  Let Dr. Johnson know of your issues.  It's the only way to get it fixed if he knows.
