If I have reached my deductible (my HRA $2000 thing) what does that mean?  Does this mean that I will not have to pay anything else out of pocket?

Thanks
Lisa

Yes!!!   YeS!!!!     YeS!!!!

Everything until January 1, 2010 is FREE !

That's the best thing about the HRA! You only

have to spend $1500 out of pocket for the

whole year!

That is correct.  Once you meet your deductible, everything else is FREE for the rest of the year.  Even prescriptions (it's beautiful to go to the pharmacy and they just hand it over).  When I went to my nephrologist the other day and he needed blood, I'm like "take it all", "run whatever tests you want", "it's all FREE..."

I'm the same way. I catch myself sitting and plotting what I can have done next?  I think I may get my tonsils out. My pcp has been wanting to do it, and since it's free I may go ahead and do it.

Have you had any luck getting post op vitamins covered.  Now Cigna pays for my Vit D, Iron, and Folic acid.  What else will they cover?

They wouldn't cover the b-12. Had to get that one otc.

Wonder if I can sub a prenatal vitamin for the multi? Maybe they would cover that.? Could I even get it to pass through my sleeve?

If you have an Rx for the B-12, they will cover.  If you get the shots or the nasal spray.  They are covering my nasal spray.  Since the DS works by malabsorption, I would think that you won't absorb oral B-12...just like the rest of us.

I pay for my children's multi, calcium and vit D...it's all over the counter, not Rx.

You're right about the b-12.   Will definitely get a script for that.  Not sure about the vit d, sonce I can't take capsules. I don't know if the dry vit d comes as a script?

Have you had any luck w/ the calcium citrate?  Since it's free I want to get everything I can from the pharmacy.  Can u blame me?

It is possible to get a script for vit D, BUT it's a very hefty dose, like 50,000 units.  Over the counter, I get 2000 IU (and I was Vit D deficient before surgery and not given a script).

I'm just taking over the counter calcium...and not calcium citrate.  I know that's the preferred one, my surgeon is ok with the other stuff.  Just so long as I'm taking something.  Caltrate comes in a chewable form and I've been taking that for years.  When I'm finished with the mega bottle I have, I might switch to citrate.  But I just look for sales, go to WalMart, and I can usually find a $1 - 3 coupon for my multivits and calcium.
