Hey Kathryn, I used a Dr Ronnie Blount in Macon, and he took my Medicare and I did not have to pay a co pay or anything, so if he will take that insurance, he may take your insurance .....give him a try dear....I hope this helps....Bless you and I hope you get your surgery soon......Renee

I used Dr. Gary Santavicca. He has four different offices Conyers, Atlanta, can't remember the other two. Might be a little of a drive, but his office doesn't bill with bariatric codes! My insurance does not cover anything for bariatric surgery. Dr. Santavicca was on my mental health benefits so the office precerted my visit and testing as a regular patient. My whole visit was my $30 copay!!!

Debbie! It really is weird because I was precerted with Dr. Vantine first and she told me her office had to bill with the bariatric codes so I would have to pay the $350 due to my insurance not covering bariatrics. I talked with Iana at Santavicca's office and she precerted the testing and visit as just psychological testing and they paid 100%. Maybe I should have talked with Dr. Vantine's office personal and not her. Either way, I really liked Dr. Santavicca.
