I would love to hear from others about their diet after surgery. I had surgery on Friday and have been on liquids. When should I begin solids. I'm doing great otherwise. Thanks,

Congrats. As you know every surgeon is different in what they want us to do.  MY surgeon had us on clear liquids for the first 5 day then full liquids for the remainer of the first two weeks.  Then we went to pureed for two weeks followed by soft when we were ready to handle them.  Just remember to check with your doctor.  Remember to sip, sip, sip and then to chew, chew, chew but not at the same time.  Good luck.

Hi christy,  congratulations on your surgery..which one did you have?  Dr Henderson and Kent are wonderful Doctors. Lauren can tell you when to start liquids, just give her a call and she will is more than happy to help you. I had trouble at first not bein full and she adjusted some things for me but I am lapband and it could be different if you had another type of surgery. Phyllis
