Aetna HMO

Anyone got approved with aetna hmo how was it did you have to give 6 months medically supervised diet.

I have Aetna POS, but my dr has had several Aetna approvals and all did require the 6 months surpervised plan....which Aetna will accept a calendar with your exercise and weight information on it if you see a dietician and go back to your doctor once a month.

I was just recently denied with  Aetna and they said i needed the 6 month diet however I followed the multidisciplinary route and believe I just need my doctor to document  that my 3 months regimen is complete and resubmit it.   It will probably be in your best interest to start the 6 month diet. I would have only had 1 more month if I had started it back in june which is when  I started my wls journey.
