Getting ready for lap-band

Laura, just saw your picture. You have a model's face. You are going to Moultrie to get adjustments? How did you find a doctor there? I have to make business calls there. The local hospital was ready to set the surgery date today. Hate to see the difference in money in the different locations. They want $15,600 from me. Money is an issure but I am in good shape. I am just extremely tight, but then that is how I got to where I am. You sound like you are in no pain. Do you get hungary eating less? Is it hard to get use to not eating so much at one time? How about support? Did you go the trip alone and what other support have you had. I doubt I will have much support.

Thanks .....Well right now since i had no restriction going into this right now since my tummy is back to normal i can eat a ton still ...but this is normal until your first fill ..and i am going for that on Dec 16. So i should be back to eating just a few bits come then ...but we will see ....but i do get full faster than before the band ....But right now i am starting to get hungry again ..but that just started back since surgery...and i did take my mom with me to Mexico but i wish i didn't and i could have done it alone with no problem that is for sure ...My mom has a bad back so she could not halp like i wanted or needed her too .....As for the fill doc in Moultrie there is a Fill Center there for people that have had a band done in Mexico or have re located or do not want to use their doc anymore ...So i went to a site called lapbandtalk.com and they refered me to them ...And so far i have chatted with one other lady that went last week and she said they were wonderful ...so i am happy about that and haveing someone kinda close if soemthing goes wronge and all ...... Laura, I am thinking about switching gears. Please look at my poll question on this site and answer it. I may be crazy but my local doctor wants $15,600 for the lap-band and follow-up. I owe him about $1,500 for doctor's consultation, 2 day psylogical work-shop, and how to eat meeting. That would be included in the $15,600. Of course I would pay this. Would love to just talk with you about your path to Mexico. I have only been to Mexico on vacations. My next choice is to have it in Texas for $12,000 or do what you did for $8,000. Is that right? The local Doctor's office is using the old "scare" tatic and other "no local support" type reasons to get my mind off of saving money. I can do the balance sheet on everything but would apprecaite other input as well. Thanks in advance. Jon
