i need help
I do not know of any service to help with money, but I had my surgery in July on a Thursday and I was only out of work ( 9 ) business day's. This is if they are going to do the ( Lap-Gastric ) not a ( Open-Gastric ). I wish you the best on your NEW JOURNEY. You might can go to the county and get some help with food and ulitiesm but that will be up to the county. Check that out.

Hi Kenya -
Unsure of your job situation and the vacation/sick benefits they offer, you may want to consider putting off your surgery date for a little while in order to accrue some additional available time off.
Most insurance companies have an approval "window" for surgery, so check with your insurance company to find out what their policy is. My insurance company (BC/BS) had a six month window on my surgery, so had I run into a similar problem as yours, I would have had an option to wait a little while so that I could build up the time.
I know that waiting is the LAST thing you want to do after receiving confirmation of your approval, but if continuous income is a necessity, you might want to check in to this option.
Congratulations on your approval and good luck with your decision!
Hugs!
Kristi
