GAINING
I know it's easier said than done, but is there something else you can do instead of eating? maybe take a warm bath to try and relax you when you get upset?? Or go for a walk to calm down? If not, just try to make sure that you have good things in the house to snack on, or make a protein shake.
I am sorry about your dad, and I know from experience that it is hard to handle.

I can TOTALLY relate. I had gained and was going crazy. I've been on my surgeon's "Back On Track" program. The last 3 weeks, have been PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN... absolutely no carbs, no sugars, no dairies... to stay in ketosis.
I've lost about 20 pounds. It is not as hard as it seems...I stay full and I'm drinking my water...
Trust me, it's not MENTALLY easy, I'd just about give my right arm for a CRACKER!! But when I see the scales payoff, I can tolerate it one more day.
