ell, it's been about a week or so since my last entry, if you have not noticed, I have not been posting my weight... it has really slowed down, and honestly I think it's my fault. Have I been working out, yes...I walk almost 2 miles a night now, but I have been eating these healthy choice meals, three times a day, and to be honest I think its because its mostly pasta... I would buy the low calorie lasagna, or spaghetti, or chili... I have not been getting the lean meat and veggie meals, which is now going to change. No more pasta...or at least not as much. I am going to try to work up to three miles this next week, and my goal is 5 by the end of the month, I know its simple math, work off more than you take in. I have been riding my motorcycle a LOT, for 8$ in gas, I can go about 180 miles... and since I got the cycle, I have logged over 800 miles. My arms are tan and somewhat burnt. Friday, I wanted to get out, because the weather was absolutely beautiful. I went to visit a couple of my friends/models who work at Hot Topics here in Atlanta, and then took my sweet time and back roads home, Barb was out doing calls for her job and picked up her kids, and I asked her to meet me out at a State Park called Indian Springs, which sports a large lake. I want to use this location for a photo shoot next week, so I wanted to scout it out for lighting at sunset, so I met her and the kids out there. After which we went to dinner at a Barb-A-Que place, called Fresh Air, in Jackson GA. I asked for the meat, with no sauce, considering it has sugar in it, and no bread.. So when they dropped it for me and Barb, (We still split all meals) of course, it had the sauce and the bread. Barb said no worries, I will scrape off the top you can have the bottom which has little to no sauce. I wanted to try it as a sandwich, because I have not had one since surgery.... Two bites, and it hit me... UGH....GARR...I turned into a sick Pirate...went to the bathroom, didn't hurl, just stood there, looking in the mirror like an idiot, thinking...dummy! After a couple of minutes I rejoined the family, assured them I was ok, even though I was experiencing cramps, I finished my un-sweetened Tea with Splenda, (Sweet Tea is a staple ya know in the South). Then road my bike home. Total of 9 hours on the motorcycle, the bread coursing through my system, I felt like I had the flu... I was sore from the ride, and having chills and sweats from the bread. Honestly, felt like I had the flu...so I took a VERY hot shower, then went to bed. Lesson learned, again...oh well...the tea was good. Plus I did enjoy the bike ride, and look forward to it again! btw, my new weight, 306! Miles

Poor Miles! Bread nearly killed me in the early weeks of surgery. I did the same thing, only used extremely thin wheat bread, but I guess by the time it swoll (sp?) up, I was dying, and thought I was having a heart attack. I wound up in the emergency room, just for HAVING to have that bread... It's good you are exercising. I wish like crazy I had exercised in the early weeks/months after my surgery....When you are burning up 300+ calories, and barely taking in 1000 (if that much) it is bound to sloff off of you.... You are wise to get away from the pasta. That is a SERIOUS killer to the weight loss. You are doing GREAT my friend, and I WISH I could meet you. If we do a dinner in Duluth in November, PLEASE come!! OK? Take care! Tami

Fresh Air BBQ??? If it is the same as what they have in Macon, no wonder..... they had the nastiest, greasiest BBQ I had ever eaten. BBQ was the first thing I ever dumped on too... and it was only on 2 bites of lean sliced pork... no sauce.... I was craving BBQ and flavor sooo bad, I didn't take my time and chew, chew, chew.... Bread is still a killer to me... even at 22 months out. I do ok with toast, but plain old white bread gets the best of me. Keep up the great work... and remember, you will plateau every so often.... you body has to catch up with the rapid weight loss. And don't get discouraged. Just keep on doing what you know is right! Hugs, Susan
