Dr. Scott anyone??

Has anyone used Dr. Scott in Rome? My PCP wants me to use him. Would like some feedback on him. I checked the local resources for testimonials. Just wondering if there are more of you out there that hasn't posted there. Thanks, Tracy

I used Dr. Scot and I love him. He is a great surgeon and I really have had a great experience with him. His staff is really great and I love Marybeth his nutritionist. Thanks soo much for the reply. My PCP thinks he is the greatest. He said he is very patient friendly. That they don't rush you. But, all I ever hear about is Dr. Duncan and I particular didn't want to go to Atlanta constantly. Which hospital did you use?

Hi Tracy, You can't go wrong with Dr.Scott and his staff.I have been preparing for lapband most of this year with him. My first surgery had to be canceled on the day of surgery because I had 3 blood clots in my leg. Now I am set up to go again on 9/11 and I think it will go off without a hitch this time. Ginger,his assistant, has been an incredible source of encouragement and knowledge. Marybeth is wonderful also to get back to you quickly if you have questions on nutrition. Dr.Scott is an excellent surgeon, as well as a true people person. I asked him once who i should call if i had any questions while Ginger was on maternity leave, and he said to call HIM any time I needed to. He was so thoughtful the morning I had to be canceled due to the blood clots. He knew I was devastated, and took the time to try to help me through it.He does most,if not all, his surgeries now at Floyd and his patients stay in the Pallatine Suites. My husband had lapband 2 weeks ago with him, and never even needed anything for pain. He went back to work on the 3rd day after surgery.(By the way, he has lost 22 lbs. since surgery, and has not had any problems.) I have never heard anything except good comments about Dr.Scott. I have 4 other friends that have had RNY and lapband with him. All have had success and no problems. Good luck with whatever you decide. You will love Dr.Scott and his staff!

I had my RNY with him as one of his first like 20 patients in Rome back in 2002. He was super friendly and very nice. Ginger his nurse was great. Am not sure she is there anymore as my insurance coverage changed and I can't even use him for followup anymore. At the time I was nursing a 1 year old and he allowed me to continue while watching my numbers closely. He was really nice and wish I could see him again.
