Will Medicare help pay for my tummy tuck? Anyone know?

Seems some people are lucky enough for their insurance to pay for their plastic surgeon, others have doctors that won't even try to help with filing with insurance. Has anyone had Medicare pay for their tummy tucks here in Georgia and with what doctor? I've heard it depends on how the dr. codes it. Any help is appreciated. I have this extra tummy that needs to come off and $7,000 doesn't come easy. Georgia

I, too, have Medicare and have called around to several plastic surgeons. They all say that they will not file for Medicare even if they are on the list. I know I have the problems that would warrant the surgeries as medical necessities---carbuncles, skin infections, yeast, etc.---, but getting help to pay for it is beginning to look bleak. I assume I would have to pay up front then fight Medicare for reimbursement. If anyone has any answers for this, I hope you will post! Sandy
