Support Groups

Hi Everyone, I am trying to find a support group for my mother in the Snellville, GA area. She is 3 years post op and needs an extra push/support to lose her remaining weight. Please help!!!

There used to be a support group that met in Snellville but it changed locations over a year or so ago. It is called WINGS Around Altanta. It meets the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9-12. The address is NorthEast Baptist Church 4045 Chamblee Tucker Road Atlanta, GA 30340. September will be my 3 year anniversary of attending meetings and I have only missed 1 or 2. I have made some great friends from this group. It is non surgeon specific and anyone is welcome to attend: pre ops. post ops, learning about surgery, support people, friends. Rockdale Hospital in Conyers (about 15 miles from Snellville) has a support group. I'm not sure about the schedule. I'm sure if you call they can put you on the trail. -karen-

There is one at rockdale hospital the 1st Wednesday at 600 and there is one in atanta at atlanta medical at the welness center they have it on the 2nd Thursday at 600 and there is one on the 3rd Saturday at 1200 so if you are intrested please let me know ill give you more information
