Can anyone help me?

To whoever is willing to give me a helping hand. I just don't know what to do. I am currently 415 (or more) pounds. I have not been on a scale in over three months so I may be more. I am in so much pain! I wake to pain, I work in pain, I have fun in pain and I sleep in pain. My best friends are Advil, Ibuprofen and Hydracodone but even they do not work all of the time. My back hurts, my knees hurt and recently my chest, head, and stomach hurt constantly. I took nearly a year off of work because of the pain and worked from home, but had to return to a fulltime position in June due my husband losing his job. I currently wear a size 34/36 or 4x/5x in clothing, and on a limited income I find myself wearing the same things over and over again. My cry for help has two parts. One, which is very simple. I need clothing! Because of my roller coaster weight, I truly have nothing to wear. Does anyone know of an organization that helps with larger sizes? I have visited churches and thrift store here, but most only have 2x/3x which is very uncomfortable to wear. I am very fortunate that I have a "temp" job that allows me to wear jeans and sweats. The key word in that sentence is "temp." I am working through a temporary agency, which leads me to my next problem. I have no health insurance. Therefore, the meds that I am supposed to take for Hypothyroidism, PCOS, and high blood pressure, I cannot get. My doctor dropped me as a patient back in January when I could not afford to pay his bills. He wrote me out a synthroid prescription for 6 months, which ran out in July. I have been out of my meds for a month now and it is starting to show. Thinning hair, dry skin and lethargic ness just to name a few. I guess this brings me to my next cry. Does anyone know of a way I can get medical treatment without the high cost? Our income right now is very limited, and shaky at best so I cannot spend much. I hope to one day have the surgery, which has seemed to help so many, but right now I feel that is not an option. I was to lose this weight. I need to lose this weight! Unfortunately diets haven't worked and exercise is not an option due to the injuries from two car accidents. Any help in either case would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Sherri

Hi Sherry. Bless your heart, you sure are having your share of it right now! Here's a link to some sources of aid in your area. I hope this helps. They list the Gwinnett Community Clinic for health care and St. V de Paul & Good Will are good places to look for clothing. I would try to develop a relationship with the workers there so that they would keep an eye out for clothing for you and let you know when some comes in. http://www.co.gwinnett.ga.us/cgi-bin/gwincty/egov/ep/gcbrowse.do?channelId=-536882240&chan nelPage=%2Fep%2Fchannel%2Fdefault.jsp&pageTypeId=536880236 Best Wishes! Sherrie, Phyliss B. has ask me to get a phone number from you, she does not have access to the internet right now so cannot respond to you through this medium but she says she has some clothes for you. If you email me your contact info I will forward it to Phyliss or if you email me I can forward you Phyliss's phone number. Thanks. Judy E.

Have you applied for medicaide as it sounds like your income is limited? Drug companies have programs to help those with limited resources get thier medications, look up you medication online and find the drug company that makes it, then contact that comany.

Have you applied for Medicare? I heard on the news some time ago that Medicare had recognized "obesity" as an illness. (well... duh!)
