support group

Does anyone know of any support group meettings near Gwinnett Co. or Hall Co. Ga. Or is it best that I go to my doctor's support group. Thank for your time. Dawn

Hi Dawn! I believe there is a support group meeting that meets at Eastside Medical Center (in Snellville) - it used to be like the second Saturday of each month. Not sure if that info is still accurate, but it doesn't matter WHERE you go.... find one that you like and that you are comfortable attending and stick with it!!! If you are ever out my way (Rockdale County), we have one the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at Rockdale Medical Center. Best of luck to you! Kristi

WINGS around Atlanta used to meet at the Eastside Medical Center but it changed locations about 1 year or so ago. It still meets the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9-12. The Address is: NorthEast Baptist Church 4046 Chamblee Tucker Road Atlanta, GA 30340. Hope this helps! Marie

Dawn, do you mind me asking what insurance co. it was? I have United Healthcare (I'm a teacher)and they automatically deny all people due to an exclusion. I'm planning to self-pay for my surgery.
