HELP!!!

I am having a very hard time with my new insurance Medicaid Peach State, My PCP recomended I have surgery. I have seen a sleep specialist, cardiologist, and I have had a sleep test done I am also suppose to see a Bariatric surgeon and meet with a nutritionist but everything is on hold now because of this new Medicaid Peach State. Im lost I call and nothing is done weeks and weeks go by. Im to the point where IM like forget it all......... I have made up my mind to go thru with WLS and now this I dont wanna get started and something happen this is crazy and its discouraging me highly............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Next time you call ask for a supervisor. Note thier name. Get aggressive with them but stay polite. Send a letter asking what is the problem with your approval and how you can help.

I too slowed down alot with the new medicaid. My packet was finally submitted for approval on 8/11 and I am waiting on an answer. I chose the Amerigroup because the surgeon im using, Dr Duncan is a covered specialist on their plan. They said everything is just slower because they rolled out the new plans before they were fully up and running. I'll keep you in my prayers and everything will work out fine. Take care Angie
