HELP
I am looking for a new surgeon That has performed surgery on extremely obese patients. I had choosen Titus Duncan and then was told I needed to lose 150 pounds for Lab. Surgery. he did not see me his self. I was seen only by his new set of money iterested only quacks. I had choosen him several years ago , and he said yes to me, but after he got so popular when I finally got medicare he had became a coorpation and had several surgeons working for him that was not as skilled, when I said I only wanted him they them told me I was to heavy to have it this way. I am now in search for a new surgeon who has worked with extreme obest patients. please help if you can . I want my life back....

I can vouch for Titus Duncan, and only another Surgen would have said for you to loose weight, it's because of the size of your liver. I don't know the whole story of course because I was not there but my experience as a barry with Titus has been nothing but positive.
If anything, I had to stay an extra night, and see them about my hernia and they did not charge me considering I am a self pay person.
I hope you find someone who can work with you.

I too went to Dr. duncan's office. Dr. hobson actually did my surgery. I loved all of his staff they are very helpful.
If you are not wanted to loose the 150 lbs. before the surgery, you may try Dr. Champion, he is up on the North Side. I think he does the open RNY, not positive though.
I highly recommed having it done Lap though. My recovery time was nothing!! and only in the hospital overnight. My husband had the surgery 5 years ago, he had his Open, and was in the hospital for a week. If I didn't have a choice to do it Lap, I don't know that I would have had it done....but that's just my opinion, hope it helps.
