Well I have some good news, I had my first post op exam today, and lo - and behold, and I was 348!!!!!! Thats -34 lbs!!! My spirits really jumped, and I feel really good today, I been officially upgraded to Simi-solid foods, which is awesome, so I went shopping, and got a whole new line of soups, Clam Chowder, Vegetable Soup, ect... I did avoid the ones with to much sugar and or bread and rice... I know better.
We visited our baby horses yesterday, and my wifes filly is sick....very sick. She might have pneumonia, which is killer for baby horses, so we hope we caught it before it really set in... We gave some anti-biotic and will be going down again today.
I been getting back to my normal routines and will resume my work in the studio sometime next week and do some photoshoots... I just have to make sure I am 100%, right now I feel about 80% back to normal.
Today I met an older woman in the doctors office, her name is Marie she has her Surgery this coming Monday, and I would guess her to be around 50? She is a little nervous and I was pretty frank with my failures and success and she took a deep breath and smiled and said thank you, she feels more ready for some of the darker and brighter sides to it. I told her also I had more issues than normal because of my hernia and there are people who has zero pain... or little to none.
The most inspirational thing to me is I put on a t-shirt today and wow it was loose... I don't see it in the mirror and people who see me everyday have not seen it yet, but... I hope when I see some friends this coming next few weeks, I hope I blow there socks off!!!
So People If your reading this, you will see a smaller version of me already! I am really pumped, I want to start working out, but I have to give this a full month of healing. I am going to start arm weights this week however then get into walking, walking and more walking.
I don't feel that heavy feeling of depression anymore, and I am feeling more and more energy everyday, I have been perking up and feeling better physically more and more...
A plus side to this is my sleeping... I dont think I snore nor have issues with my sleep apnea anymore or if at least not as much as before, because I am really getting some good sleep. I have been pretty ready to roll at 6am. I was up late last night so I got up did my vitamins and walked a little then went back to bed for an hour, but thats still an improvement.
Some of my goals, I can share with you...
1. Get back to flying airplanes... I have over 50+ hours experience but I need to get re-certified
2. Diver Certified.
3. Horseback Riding.
4. Camping (this would include getting my horse and going out in the woods DEEP and or trail ride to the site, and stay all night.
5. Just be physically in shape, like I was before my accident which caused all this mess in the first place.... It will be nice to be 200lbs and ripped again.
I guess those goals are pretty selfish? But I think if I can take a little of that for my self I will already be giving more back to my family and friends. This is my goal to give more of my self to those who I deeply care for.
Well, sorry this was such a long Blog entry, I hope I didnt loose you as a reader before this, but if I didnt I hope you can see I am growing more and more confident, and less in pain everyday and your comments help me as much as anything, so please continue to show me that support I have grown accustomed to!

Miles,
The first time that I noticed that I had lost some weight after my surgery, was when I would be put on my jeans, and it felt and looked like I had very 'baggy' britches!!! That was the first tale tale (no pun intended) sign that I was really starting to LOSE!!! When you see your friends, where your baggy pants, and they will definitely be noticeing, and then go put on your smaller britches!!!
