Hello Alisa:
I'll see you and your mom at the Regency Square Library on Saturday (tomorrow) any time between 10 and 1. People come and go at their lesiure so don't worry about coming late or having to leave early. As you walk in to the library, the conference rooms are on your right and we're usually in the one just before you walk thru the "sensor" to get in to the library. If you need more detailed directions on how to get to the library, please let me know.
Kat forgot to tell you I'm a task master. When you get off track, I step in beside you and push you back up there. But we're a team. We're all there to support each other and I started this group because "I" needed the support.
All are welcome....pre ops, post ops, people who are thinking about weight loss surgery, friends and family... anybody can pull a chair up to the table and join us.
I look forward to meeting you and your mom. The pleasure will be all mine.
Blessings,
La Wanda
Alisa,
It was great meeting you and your mom today! I am so glad that you decided to come and I hope you enjoyed it and felt comfortable! I know that you are going to be fine the next time you get scheduled ! Don't give up! For whatever reason, this past week was not the right time for you!
Hope to see you again soon!
Terri
Alisa,
LaWanda is the lady who keeps us all in line at the meetings
. I don't think anyone would mind if you brought your Mom. Some people bring their spouse. I really hope that you can come. I can't wait to meet you
. Preop folks are welcome. I am pre-op and thought I might feel a little out of place but everyone was so nice and welcoming
.
Hope to see you there!
Kat

Hey Kat: Yeah, I keep 'ya in line alright. You forgot to mention what a task master I am. Thank you for that!!!
Karen brought her mom to a meeting one time and so did Barbara. Its nice to have the input of a loved one. Look at Carlos and Amanda. I appreciate what he adds to the group.
And thank you so much for posting that you felt comfortable at the meeting. It was such a joy for me to meet you and I do hope I see you tomorrow and lots more Saturdays to come.
Tell Cindy I'll be looking for her too. I think support group meetings pre op are really very eye opening and an essential part of this whole journey.
Thanks again for the post. See you tomorrow.
Blessings,
La Wanda
