I need a surgeon ASAP

I was orginally trying to use Dr. Jawad and that didn't work out, I am in need of a good surgeon in FL, preferably in Central Florida. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already been approved by Aetna, I just need a surgeon that can do the surgery BEFORE 12/31/05.

They are not in central FL but Ernest Rehnke (St. Petersburg) or Dr. Murr (USF-Tampa). Dr. Rehnke performed my surgery and I was well pleased. I've heard many things about Dr. Murr that are positive. I went to one of Dr. Murr's support groups and I felt comfortable but Humana required me to go to Dr. Rehnke. When I first met Dr. Rehnke I liked his personality and that made me comfortable. His bedside manner is not overly friendly or exciting but he is concerned about his patients and their well-being. He did a wonderful job and he always made sure I understood everything that I was about to encounter. He laid it all out on the table. When I went to my first postop visit that's when I saw an awesome side to him. He made me feel like I was doing a great job with my weightloss tool. That type of encouragement helps tremendously. You may get a surgery date quicker with Dr. Rehnke than Dr. Murr but stranger things have happened. Please keep me updated if you don't mind. Best wishes!

Dr. Buntz is at Leesburg Regional Hospital - you might check on him. Do you mind saying why Dr. Jawad did not work out? Hope you find someone, that is pretty short notice. Are you interested in our Support Group that is starting in Lake County? Carol

I used Jorge Sosa in Hialean at Palmetto General. Excellent pre-op and post -op care. Surgery coordinator that meets you in the recovery room as you open your eyes and is there for you every step of the way until DC from hosp9otal. Palmetto gen., was fantastic! they even bropught my husband a BED so he coud stay with me. 1-800-getslim is the fhone number if I an remembering correclty. Dr, Sosa also has some of the best stats in FL and nationwide. He only does the laproscopic procedure and has done over 1000.

Dr. Paul Wizman www.drwizman.com He works out of Broward and Palm Beach counties (South FL). No fatalities but 1 who begged him even athough the odds were against him (600 lbs and bad heart - was dying anyway and said he would rather die trying instead just by just being fat and ill). All else is pure success! His nutritionist lives in Orlando area and travels here once a month.
