OKAY FLORIDA BOARD...I NEED SOME HELP!!!

We recently moved to Cape Coral from Alabama. I had my surgery there. Now I need to find a bariatric surgeon here as my husband wants to start looking into it for himself. I am trying to find a dr. within 100 mile radius of Cape Coral/Ft. Meyers area. PLEASE HELP!! Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!! VICKY

Welcome to Southwest Florida Vicky. I am in So Ft Myers and traveled to Tampa General to a wonderful Dr. It's an inconvience but weighing the pros and cons it was definitely well worth it and after doing my research I opted for Dr Murr, a surgeon who had the experiences of many surgeries under his belt.

I don't know of any in your area.. But I used Dr Murr and he is top in the feild.A wonderful Doc and so is his staff and Fellows. In my book he is #1 I had went to one prier to Dr Murr and decided not to see him and Chose Doc,Murr and am glad that I did.. Tamps General took very good care of me.. Hi Vicky! Welcome to southwest Florida. I think we emailed with eachother when you were planning the move--right? I don't have anything to offer as far as surgeons go. I see Ginny and others have already made suggestions. I just wanted to say hi.

I strongly recommend Dr Raul Rosenthal @ Cleveland Clinic - Weston. The West coast of Fl - is horrible with the insurance issue. I am seeing him and have just started my journey - however he performed the RNY surgeries on both my cousin and his wife in Boca Raton and they can't say enough about him. I found my experience to be very positive. Visit my sight and there's a link there for Dr Rosenthal's office. Other than the fact that their insurance coordinator is a little unorganized everyone else provided me with a very very positive experience.
