Phew....was I in pain last night from working my abs at the gym in the morning! It was 10 out of 10, and I just had to go to bed and lay there! Felt like my pouch was all swollen and I could not eat, it was horrible! All I did was use a machine that helped me with sit up crunches. I'm not touching that machine again for a few months! Anyone have this happen? I've tried abdominals before and felt similar. Is it just me or the surgery? Anyway, good news is the carafate is healing my ulcer and I have actually felt good since friday (not counting last night!) Down to 143, and wearing my daughters size 7 pants....they actually say 7! Can you believe that!!! Losing hair all the time, fun wow..... hugs to all, Tami

Hi Tami, I am only 2 month out and haven't started abdominals. I am seeing the surgeon today for my 2nd f/u and was going to ask him about resistance training and when to start abdominals. I'll let you know what he says. Great news about wearing your daughters pants. That's so ! Glad the meds are helping the ulcer too. Have a great day! Lori

Yes, girl this has happened to me many times however I don't have an ulcer and that may make the soreness a bit more intense. I would doublecheck with the doc's office to see if you pulled anything. I did my abdominal workout about 2 - 2 1/2 months out and sometimes have overdone a bit with machines but also w/o machines when I don't have a chance to go to the gym. I can do them intensely at home as well..but I would tell ya don't do abdominals for a couple of days - then try them w/o machines. Then do with the machines bu****ch your intensity and repeatitions. Congrats on getting to 143 - I can't wait til I get there! Just take it easy!

Hi Tami, Went to surgeon yesterday and Madeline, the nurse, said that I could begin abdominal workouts now that I'm 2 months out. So I think the key is to start slow and work your way up to that machine that helps you do the crunches. Hope this helps. have a great weekend, Lori
