OK, I officially have a BOYFRIEND!

After kissing tons of frogs since my weightloss and discovering my new-found confidence, I have met a great guy (Loren)! He relocated here from Buffalo in July and we are on the same page in what we are looking for...that is SO refreshing Anyway, on Sunday he asked me if I would be his girlfriend (how sweet is that or is it a little like 8th grade? LOL) Anyway, please say a prayer for us and/or wish me luck cause it has been a VERY long time since I felt like I had a "keeper"! Amy P.S. He saw my surgery scar by accident and before I could explain my story, he told me he knew it was from WLS and to let him know about it when I was ready. Some of you know sharing that part of my life while in the early stages of dating has been a struggle for me so how cool that he beat me to the punch!

Amy, I am so very happy for you. Getting to know you through the board this last year has been a bright spot in my life. You are such a warm and giving person and I am so glad someone out there slowed down enough to recognize it. He gets extra kudos for being so cool about the WLS. That sounds like quite a keeper. For the record, I think asking you to be his girlfriend was EXACTLY what YOU needed him to do . Sounds like he was in tune enough to you to realize you might need some OLD FASHION COURTING... Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know how you feel. On Wednesday my boyfriend and I celebrated our 5th week together. I sure did find my prince. He is great and well worth the wait.
