sorry,,,,,,, can't do it!!!

I have bad news, I wo'nt be having the bypass any time sooooooon.... because, they said I would have to pay $500.00 up front, then maybe (Medicaid) will pay for the surggeery!!!!!!! soooo I have to do it on my own.... oh and, can someone tell me what ( Dumping) means???? Dumping is a symptom you get when you eat to much sugar or fat. The symptoms range from nausea, vomiting, sweats, chills, terrible gas pains, (farting), and diarrhea...I think I covered everything...i will send u a private email about the other stuff..

Hi, I don't dump much on suger i dump on to much fat. I get alot of gas and feel like i am in labor. The thing is i am lucky if i do fart. LOL!! I take gasX but it don't seem to work. I just have to watch my fat intake. Good luck, Debra

Have you tried switching Dr.'s? My total out-of-pocket was 50.00 for the nutritionist and 250.00 for the psych evaluation. It wasn't easy coming up with the 300.00, but I finally sold enough of my stuff on EBay to pay for it. My surgeon was Dr. Cox in Ft. Lauderdale. Good Luck, Erika L

Tina, I hope this won't offend you but I certainly wouldn't let only $500 stop me from considering surgery. You asked a couple days ago for advice and support from us and many of us responded. Continue to look for that on here and don't make any rash decisions. It weighed the risks of WLS for 3 YEARS before I finally made up my mind, I would hope anyone else would take their time before they move forward or rule out surgery since it is such a commitment. As Erika told you, she sold items on ebay to earn the money for some of her appointments/testing, that is a great suggestion and I'm sure there are lots of other ways you could earn $500 even if it took you over a year to do so. I guess my concern is that you (and your health) are certainly worth every penny of $500 to get your life back, dont throw in the towel so soon! Continue to research, ask questions and seek out the answers in your heart...don't let $500 be the determining factor! Just my two cents... Amy
